With FooGallery, it is possible to change the default gallery template to one of your choosing. Likewise, you can change the default gallery settings by selecting a particular gallery. Below we take a look at how to update your FooGallery preferences.
Gallery Template
By default, any new gallery that you create using FooGallery, will be set to the Responsive Image Gallery layout. If you would prefer new galleries to use a different layout, you can change the default settings.
Goto FooGallery -> Settings. Under the General settings tab, scroll down to the default settings. Here you’ll find a drop down menu of all the layouts available. Select the one you would like to use as your default layout.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Save Settings.
Default Gallery Settings
If you have created a gallery, and you would like to use these particular settings for all of your future galleries, then you can use the Default Gallery Settings feature to do this.
Goto FooGallery -> Settings. Under the General settings tab, scroll down to the default settings. Click on the Default Gallery Settings box, where it says No default. A panel will open listing all of your current galleries. Select the gallery that has the settings you would like to use as your default.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Save Settings. Now, when you add a new gallery, it will automatically have the same settings that were used for the selected gallery.
Note that these settings will only be applied to future galleries that you create. To change the settings for existing galleries, you would need to use the bulk copy feature, available in FooGallery PRO.
Default Sorting
You can also set the way your galleries sort your images by changing the Default Gallery Sorting. This will automatically determine how future galleries are sorted, such as alphabetically or chronologically. You can also do apply this sorting on individual galleries.
