Dynamic galleries load gallery content from another source instead of requiring every image to be selected manually from the media library. Use dynamic gallery workflows when gallery content should be populated from another source.
These are the current datasources that are available in FooGallery for dynamic galleries:
- Media tags – populate a gallery with images that are tagged with specific tags
- Media categories – populate a gallery with images that are in a specific media category or “folder” within FooGallery.
- Server folders – populate a gallery from images in a folder on your server. This can be outside the media library folders.
- Post Query – populate a gallery from any post, page or customer post type. You can define post types, taxonomies and overrides.
- WooCommerce products – populate a gallery from your products. (only available in PRO Commerce plan).
- Adobe Lightroom – sync images directly from your Adobe Lightroom on you PC. (requires the 3rd party WP/LR sync plugin).
- Real Media Library – populate a gallery from RML folders. (requires the 3rd party RML plugin).
- Infinite Uploads – populate a gallery with videos from Infinite Uploads. (requires the 3rd party Infinite Uploads plugin)

Dynamic galleries load gallery content from another source instead of requiring every image to be selected manually. They update automatically without you needing to edit a gallery.
Dynamic galleries are refreshed every 24 hours, or immediately after you save the gallery. Some datasources also refresh the cache when they are updated, but that can vary by datasource. Read more in the documentation to see how to override when dynamic galleries are refreshed.
