FooConvert PRO includes a Countdown block which is is included in the Special Offer template, or can be added to any FooConvert widget by searching for ‘Countdown’ in the block menu.

There are 2 modes for your countdowns: FOMO or Specific.

Creating a FOMO Countdown

By default the counter is set to FOMO, which displays a new countdown to each visitor as they land on the site. This can be used to create a sense of urgency, encouraging users to buy, sign up, or take some other action before time runs out.

With this mode, you can set the number of minutes from which the timer will count down. You can then also choose the type of Expiry that you want: the Session expiry means that the widget will refresh for that user’s next session, while the Persist expiry means the widget will permanently expire once the times runs down.

You will also have the option to close the widget on expiry, and adjust the layout of the digits.

Creating a Specific Countdown

To create a countdown a specific date and time in the future, toggle over to the Specific mode in the countdown block. This is useful for counting down to an event or launch, or could be used to run down to the end of a sale, for example.

Once on the Specific mode, select the date and time to which you want to count down. Again, you will have the option to close the widget once the timer has finished, and you can change the digit layout in the block.
