We’re super excited about our latest upcoming feature for FooGallery PRO: Loading Galleries from Other Sources. We recently announced that this awesome new feature would be coming soon, and we’re happy to say that it’s nearly ready for release.

But first, we’ll be making it available for Beta Testing.

Loading Galleries from Other Sources

This addition to FooGallery PRO will allow you to pull images from sources other than your Media Library. Some real-world examples of this could be:

  • Load all images with the Media Tags “family”, “weddings” or “sport”.
  • Load all images with the Media Category “Portraits”.
  • Load all images from the folder “my-gallery-uploads” on your server.
  • Load all images within the “Wedding” collection in Adobe Lightroom Classic.

You can read more about Loading Galleries from Other Sources in this blog post.

FooGallery + WP/LR Sync

We are particularly excited about the new feature that pulls images from Adobe Lightroom. This has been requested so many times we have lost count, and finally we have something to share with you. We integrated with the well respected WP/LR Sync plugin which synchronizes your Lightroom folders and collections into your WordPress media library. In order to get this working you will need to have Adobe Lightroom installed (obviously) and you will need to install and configure MeowApps’s WP/LR Sync publishing service.

Once you have it up and running and all your images are synchronized to your WordPress media library, then you simply create a new gallery, choose to Add From Another Source, then select Adobe Lightroom on the left menu. A list of all your Lightroom folders and collections will then be displayed in the datasource modal:

Then select the collection with which you want to populate the gallery, and click on OK. Your gallery items will now show the following:

Which means it’s all working as expected. Now click on the Gallery Preview to see what your gallery will look like. Simple!

Sign Up to Test

If you want to be one of the first lucky few to try out this new feature, all you have to do is sign up for Beta Testing. You can do this from your FooGallery Pro account page. Here’s a more detailed look at how to sign up for the Beta program.

If you sign up, the Beta version of FooGallery will be available to you as soon as it’s ready to go. Use it, test it, and give us your feedback!

If you don’t want to sign up for Beta Testing, no problem. Once we’ve finished the trial run, the new feature Loading Galleries from Other Sources will be released in a future FooGallery PRO update. Keep an eye on our blog, Facebook and Twitter pages to find out when it will be available.
