Today we’re excited to announce that FooGallery Pro now includes the ability to create video galleries with YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia and more including self-hosted videos.

Actually, FooGallery has always supported the creation of video galleries through the use of an extension named FooVideo. As we wrote about here, it made more sense for our users and our business to merge the features and benefits of FooVideo into our FooGallery Pro plugin and has now happened.

Along with this merge came a new FooGallery explainer video:

Taking Care of Existing FooVideo Customers

Including these video gallery features in FooGallery Pro means that we’re sunsetting the development of the standalone FooVideo extension. This affects customers of FooVideo that are using this alongside our free FooGallery plugin.

We thought long and hard on how to make this change gracefully and in the best interest of our users, without adversely affecting their businesses and those of their video gallery clients.

Our solution was to offer all users of FooGallery (free version) and the FooVideo (paid), a free upgrade to FooGallery Pro. Further, this also accounts for holders of Personal, Multi, or Business licenses.

As an example, if you purchased a FooVideo Personal (1 domain) license, you received a discount code for the price of the single domain license for FooGallery Pro. The same applies to multi (5 domain) and Business (25 domain) licenses.

As an added bonus, customers of FooVideo can also choose to upgrade to a higher license level, or even a lifetime license for any license level and the same discount still applies.

How to Get Your Discount Code

If you’re an existing FooVideo user (using FooGallery free version), we’ve made it incredibly easy to receive and apply your discount to FooGallery Pro. After updating to the latest FooGallery (free version), you can simply follow the steps in the video below.

What If You Paid for FooGallery Pro AND FooVideo?

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered too!

If you’ve purchased both FooGallery Pro and FooVideo, you’ll also see a discount code after updating to the latest version of FooGallery Pro. You can apply this discount to upgrade to a higher license level OR to your existing license to extend it for an entire year.

What’s Next?

We’ve got a todo list a mile long (as we’re sure you do too) and the inclusion of video galleries in FooGallery Pro was a major milestone that sets us up for the next series of exciting product features and developments. *cough Gutenberg *cough 😉

We welcome you to stay tuned to our blog or Twitter to make sure you don’t miss any important updates.
